Potty Training

I am wanting to potty train Austin soon.  Does anyone have any great ideas?  I have heard....
have him go naked and then when he starts to pee, put him on the toilet
sticker chart (I don't think he would go for that one)
treats (but how do you not pump him full of candy just to get out a drop of pee?)
He is interested in the toilet.  We have a potty seat and a toilet seat thing that he can sit on the "big potty".  I was just looking for some help.  Bradyn was so easy to potty train and for some reason I don't feel that this kid will go as smoothly.  Suggestions please.

he is just so cute! I have never potty trained a boy so I am no help...with Grace it had to be her idea! I would love to see your suggestions for future use! :) you are picking up on the whole blogging thing...

As I have yet to potty train, I am of no help. Although here in a little bit I will be asking of your expertise. With me, my mom said all she had to do is buy me some pretty underwear with the lacey ruffles and told me not to get the pretty lace dirty/wet. And that was that. Seems simple enough. But I don't know if Nate would be to fond of his son wearing lacey panties :)

yay I'm excited to see you friday :) My friend did that book, "Potty training in a day." It was hard work but the training was done in like a week. What about picking out new undies, would that excite him. I really don't know, Stock was a pain in my behind to potty train!

Im potty training Camryn too. I am just bribing with jelly beans...but I heard that with boys you can put a fruit loop in the potty and have them try to hit it...like a game. I know it sounds gross but it works! Good luck!

All I have to say is GOOD LUCK! Just teasing. The fruit loop idea is great (cherrios) or is they love chocolate like Seth does, you could reward him. Boys are harder it seems, but since your other boy wasn't very hard that doesn't seem to make sense to you does it? They are so cute. Eventually it will come when they are good and ready and not a minute sooner. Any ideas for Maddie?

Hey,
I am glad you left me a message on my blog. I haven't updated it in a long time. I was so excited to meet cathy. She is so great!!! I don't think Barefoot is going to work out for me right now, but I totally love the place, and hopefully in the future I can give Cathy another call. You are lucky to work at such a fun place and with great People.

I tried everything with Carson and he would go and get all of the rewards but he still wasn;t 100% My friend told me she would give her little boy COLD showers, head to toe, at first I thought that was so mean but when nothing else worked, that did! He has done really good for the most part, even at night he does good! (Excpet for the fun little surprise at your house!! SORRY!) Good luck, I think every kid is so different and you just have to find that one thing that will make them do it! We really need a book on each kid!

Thanks for your comment. I bet life is stressful right now with the potty training. Definately not a phase I'm excited to get to. Look likes you are doing well though, and feeling pregnant. Congrats!
