It's Earth Day

I just had to share something cute that my kids were talking about today. Bradyn learned that it was Earth Day today at school. He took it upon himself to let everyone know that it was Earth day. At dinner tonight, Austin said "Mom, it's my birthday today". I didn't think anything of it. I just said "Oh, is it your birthday, TODAY?". Bradyn corrected us both and said "No Austin, it's EARTH DAY, not your BIRTHDAY!!" I just thought it was cute that Austin interpreted it that way.

Following in his mothers footsteps...

Bradyn had a gymnastics review this last week and he did a great job. I think he is more talented than I was at his age!! He is so active and has so much energy! I was so proud watching him do gymnastics.

Easter Fun

We had such a great Easter this year. The boys earned easter eggs throughout the week so they could have an easter egg hunt on Saturday morning. They had a great time. My mom came down and brought all the stuff to fill their easter baskets. THANKS MOM!! It was just a great easter overall. It was also a great reminder of the resurrection and Christ's influence in our lives!

This came to me in an e-mail and I had so much fun filling it out! I would love for all of you to post it so I can read your answers!

1. What is his name? Nate

2. Who eats more? Ya know, I hate to admit it but we probably eat the same amount. I eat alot. If you ask Nate, he will say I eat more but really, I think it's equal.

3. Who said I love you first? I can't remember. I bet I fell in love with him first, but I can't remember who said it. It was so long ago.

4. Who is taller? Nate is, he is 5'11" and I am 5'2".

5. Who is smarter? Depends on the subject. We are probably equal on that too.

6. Who is more sensitive? Me for sure. Nate is really confident in himself and me not so much (I am working on it though).

7.Who does the laundry? Me! I don't think I would allow Nate to do laundry. He has never done a load in his life (well, except on his mission)

8. Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? Nate does. I really should because it is closer to the bathroom but in our old house, the bathroom was on the left side and I just feel more comfortable on the left side of the bed.

9. Who pays the bills? I do. Nate has no clue.

10. Who cooks more? ME. Nate is a pretty good cook too but I cook more.

11. What meals do you cook together? Probably Sunday dinner. Nate is always starving after church so he helps me cook.

12. Who is more stubborn? Me for sure! Nate gives in to me all the time. He is so great.

13. Who is the first to admit they're wrong? Nate. Like I said, I am more stubborn. I do admit when I am wrong, he just does it first.

14. Who has more siblings? Nate... and the score is 6 to 1.

15. Who wears the pants in the relationship? Probably me. Actually, I think we take turns depending, but mostly me I would say.

16. What do you like to do together? Watch movies, play with the kids, anything outdoors. I just love being with Nate really, I know if sounds cheesy, but it's true.

17. Who eats more sweets? Me! Nate always makes fun to me but what can I say? I love sweets!

18. Guilty pleasures? His guilty pleasures are movies, Halo, video games, food storage (that one is probably not guilty).

19. How did you meet? We grew up together. We went to Elementary, Jr. High, and High School together and we were in the same ward, his dad was our bishop.

20. Who asked who out first? We actually started to like each other before I was 16 so on my 16th birthday, he asked me out.

21. Who kissed who first? He kissed me first. He went to kiss me on the cheek and I turned and he kissed me on the lips!

22. Who proposed? He did.

23. His best features? His personality of course! He is so good looking too, that is a plus. I love his skin and his eyes!

24. What is his greatest quality? His patience with me, and the ability to make light of crazy situations. That is a blessing to me.

Update

I am so excited that we are doing a garden this year!! We have never had room for a garden until this year. Nate and the boys leveled out a part of our backyard and brought in some horse manure (I know, you all wanted to know that). Our backyard smells wonderful right now until Nate rototills it in.


These are our starts. It is obviously too cold to plant them, but in the next month or so we can get them in the ground and watch our garden grow!!


The boys planted some peas and green beans from seeds. Bradyn and Austin were getting so excited about it. I just hope that excitement lasts when all the weeds need to be pulled.
